weekend getaway: pangkor island

My mom has been talking about going to Pangkor Island, so we will fulfill her wish this year for her 70th birthday. I, myself has underestimated Pangkor describing nothing much we can do in the island. I booked our stay at Anjungan Beach Resort, Teluk Nipah for RM250/night include breakfast for 3.

You can reach Pangkor Island from two jetty points: Marina Jetty or Lumut Jetty. My friend suggested we board from Marina Jetty as it takes less time and more convenient in terms of parking space. So we arrived the Marina Jetty at 11:30 am, the parking space is almost full. We opted for VIP parking space, located nearby the jetty main entrance so it is convenient for mom and adik. The rate for VIP parking is RM 20/day. We need to pay RM 40 for 2 days 1 night parking.

It's not much hassle to purchase the ferry ticket, no long queue. The ferry fare is RM14 return for adult. So we went straight to boarding point, I saw the crowd waiting. Not bad, I can see that Pangkor still a favorite destination in Malaysia for a quick escape. While waiting, I strolled around. This is a nice place for a jetty, let the photos do the talking.

It took about 10-15 minutes from the Marina Jetty to Pangkor Jetty.
