Day 5: 13 November 2017

Our last day in Jogja. We decided to explore area nearby our hotel, need to catch our flight back home at 5 pm. Fajar recommended us to try gelato. They serve more than 20 flavors, with unique flavors like basil and chilli spices. You can taste first, no worries. We choose regular flavors like latte, mango sorbet, pistachio. Overall, it is a cool place to hang out with family and friends. Love the ambiance and the architecture of the gelato shop. It's like a different side of Jogja. Feeling sugarlicious and energized already, we then strolled along the Prawirotaman street as this street is famous with coffee shops. Sellie coffee nearby out hotel was one of the coffee shop featured in Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2 movie. We then took trishaw ride to do last minute shopping. With that, we end our journey in Jogja and back to reality of our hectic life in Shah Alam and Penang.
Expenses day 5:

  1. Gelato 3 scoops: IDR 38,000
  2. Trishaw Ride: IDR 50,000 (IDR 25,000/pax)
  3. Uber to airport: IDR 80,000 (IDR 40,000/pax)

So how much i spent for my jogja trip?

  1. Flight ticket return by AirAsia: RM 269.90
  2. 20 kg baggage return + Insurance : RM 162.00
  3. 4 nights accomodation at The Greenhost Boutique Hotel: RM 381.00
  4. Expenses in Jogja RM 1,100 including transportation, attraction fees, meals, shopping, massage at spa, foot reflexology

In total, I have spent RM 1,912.90 for 5 days 4 night trip in Yogyakarta. Apparently, I didn't travel cheap this time. I initially budgeted for RM 1,500.00 for the whole trip. But the cost has overshot as we booked slightly expensive hotel. I just couldn't resist to choose a very nice and unique hostel to stay in. Well, transportation has taken major portion of the budget as we need a driver/guide. You definitely can save more if you go in a group of 4 or 5. You might spend less than RM 1,200.00 if you book cheaper hotel and share transportation with more friends.

That's all from me. Thank you Jogja for all the good memories. And thanks to Yus, my awesome travel buddy.

Let's go see the world and cherish every moment in life.
